(FAOC-West) supporting national emergency coordination
FEMA’s Denver MERS facility needed a complete A/V and IT infrastructure modernization to maintain secure, real-time communications and situational awareness during national emergencies — all without interrupting 24/7 mission operations.
Wildflower International, as prime contractor, managed end-to-end project oversight and compliance while its partner LVSI executed a Crestron-based AVoIP solution integrating video walls, DSP audio, and secure VTC systems across classified and unclassified networks.
The project was completed on schedule, within budget, and with zero operational disruption. FEMA rated Wildflower and LVSI Exceptional across every category, citing improved readiness, secure communications, and strengthened national continuity posture.
FEMA’s Denver MERS Operations Center serves as both the MERS Watch and FEMA’s designated Alternate Operations Center West (FAOC West)—a critical node for national emergency coordination.
The facility required a full A/V and IT modernization to enhance situational awareness, secure communications, and operational continuity across both classified and unclassified environments—all without disrupting 24/7 operations.
This was not a routine upgrade—it was a live-mission environment where every system integration, compliance step, and hour of downtime carried national-level implications.
FEMA selected Wildflower International as the prime contractor to manage the end-to-end modernization effort under a firm fixed-price contract.
